Supporting Early Childhood: Tiny Land × Williamsburg Y Head Start

At Tiny Land, we believe play is one of the most important ways children make sense of the world. Through hands-on, imaginative experiences, they build confidence, practice social skills, and develop the foundations for lifelong learning.

This belief naturally connects us to the Williamsburg Y Head Start Preschool, where early education is supported through classroom resources, enrichment activities, and ongoing family engagement.

The Mission of Williamsburg Y Head Start

For more than 40 years, the Y.M. & Y.W.H.A. of Williamsburg, Inc. Head Start has been a meaningful part of the Brooklyn community, helping children take their first steps toward early educational development.

The program provides a warm, nurturing environment, offering early childhood education and comprehensive family support in an inclusive, multicultural setting. It helps children from low-income families build strong foundations for school readiness and long-term development through classroom learning, enrichment activities, and family engagement initiatives.

Supporting Both the Fundraiser and Classroom Learning

To support this initiative, Tiny Land is contributing in two meaningful ways:

For the school’s fundraiser auction

Tiny Land is proud to donate our classic dollhouse to the school’s 2nd Annual Spring Fundraiser auction. All proceeds from this item will directly support the Williamsburg Y Head Start Preschool Program and the families they serve.

The online auction will run from March 30th through May 5th and will be shared across the local community, reaching more than 130 enrolled families as well as a broader audience.

For classroom learning

We’ve also provided our Kids Grocery Store Playset to support daily learning experiences inside the classroom environment. Designed for open-ended pretend play, it reflects familiar real-world settings where children naturally step into roles such as shoppers, cashiers, and community helpers.

In classroom use, this type of play is often integrated into daily learning activities. Educators use it to encourage communication, cooperation, and early problem-solving through hands-on, interactive exploration.

By bringing realistic, role-based scenarios into the classroom, the playset helps children connect imagination with everyday life experiences—making early learning more tangible, engaging, and meaningful.

Why This Matters

We’re grateful to support programs like Williamsburg Y Head Start that continue to make a meaningful difference in early childhood education and family support.

This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to creating play experiences that not only inspire imagination, but also support real learning environments where children can grow, learn, and explore the world around them.
