At Tiny Land, we understand how challenging it can be when your toddler becomes a picky eater. As parents ourselves, we’ve faced those mealtime battles—like the time our little one refused to touch carrots with a stare that could stop a clock.
Yet one day, we noticed something unexpected: although our child refused to eat real carrots at dinner, they eagerly “cooked” with toy carrots and veggies in their play kitchen. In that moment, a spark of inspiration hit us—what if imaginative play could help children become curious about, and even excited to try, healthy foods they usually reject at mealtime?
This insight became the foundation of our mission. We set out to develop an Organic Food Set that’s more than just a toy. It’s a carefully designed educational tool that helps children build familiarity with realistic, healthy organic foods through fun, imaginative, hands-on play.
Before creating the product, we conducted extensive research—reviewing child development studies, consulting nutritionists, and collaborating with early childhood education experts. We wanted to ensure that our concept was grounded in science and genuinely beneficial. While no toy can instantly solve picky eating, we believe that increasing children’s comfort with healthy foods through play is a vital step toward fostering lifelong healthy habits.
Our design process was rigorous and iterative. Multiple prototypes were created and tested with a focus on realism, safety, and sensory engagement. Each food piece was crafted to closely resemble real organic produce in appearance and texture, while being durable and suitable for small hands. Beyond encouraging healthy eating, the set supports fine motor skills and cognitive development. We even brought prototypes home to observe how our own kids interacted with them.
Since launching, we’ve received positive feedback from families nationwide. Parents have shared how their children have become more curious about fish and vegetables, and how imaginative role-playing has boosted their confidence and language skills during playtime. These outcomes validate our approach of combining science-backed design with engaging, real-world play experiences.
