On July 18, Tiny Land joined Kids Summer Take Over, a family-friendly community event hosted by Just A Mom-ent at Grounded Coffee in Perryville, Maryland.
We were grateful to bring the Tiny Land Mud Kitchen to this special community gathering and share moments of open-ended play with local children and families as they discovered new ways to create, imagine, and play.

Celebrating Kids and Their Creativity
The event was created to celebrate children by giving them a space to share their creativity, explore new experiences, and connect with their community.
It brought together local families, young entrepreneurs, and community members for a day of activities, shopping, and connection.
One of the highlights of the day was seeing children gather around the Tiny Land Mud Kitchen.
Without needing specific instructions, they explored hands-on play through water play and pretend play, creating their own ideas and enjoying the freedom to play in their own ways.
For Tiny Land, moments like these capture the joy of meaningful play—where children can follow their curiosity, create their own stories, and enjoy the experience of discovery.

When Plans Change, Play Finds a Way
Originally planned as an outdoor celebration, the event moved indoors due to heavy wildfire smoke from Canada and thunderstorms.
Even with the unexpected changes, families continued to come together for an afternoon filled with creativity, connection, and play.
After the event, Just A Mom-ent shared:
“We had heavy wildfire smoke coming in from Canada as well as thunderstorms all day so we moved the event solely indoors!
With that being said the kids still had such an amazing time and enjoyed the Tiny Land Mud Kitchen!
I can’t wait to get further use out of it from my own children along with the children in my community! Thank you again for this amazing opportunity!”
Hearing that children continued to enjoy the Tiny Land Mud Kitchen despite the change in venue showed us that meaningful play can happen anywhere.
Whether outdoors in the backyard or indoors in a community space, the Mud Kitchen gives children the freedom to imagine, explore, and create their own play experiences.
We’re grateful that the Tiny Land Mud Kitchen will continue to bring opportunities for imaginative play to children and families in the community beyond this event.

Thank You, Perryville Community
